Just a very quick note to say.......

We actually took some photos in pole class last week!

A small but perfectly formed class this week due to illnesses and people going to see ‘avengers:end game’ - tsk priorities people!!!!

Super proud of these three coz I pushed them super hard - especially Laura who is only in her 8th lesson and did her first invert today! (That’s her sittin at the back up le pole!)

And Coral and Kelly rocking their cross knee releases (a first for Kelly too!)

Love you guys!

Pole Style....

5/1/2019

Lets ramble on a bit about Pole style
.
.
When I look back at the amazing opportunities I had through my early pole career... the travel, meeting people, teaching people, making friends, learning and judging competitions.... I have been truly blessed
.
.
One of the things I loved and still
Love about when I got to judge competitions and meet and train with people.... you could often tell
Someone’s background from their pole style
.
.
I LOVE this
.
.
Often I could see if the person had come from or had training in
Ballet, Gymnastics, Fitness , Martial arts, Street Dance, Or had worked in strip clubs - it’s all so diverse
.
.
Little things they did, and the way they move and held themselves
.
.
Now adays I think it’s all a bit more mixed and fused together - but a persons background and initial training still shines through
.
.
And the styles.... oh the individual styles people bring to pole.... amazing!
.
.
The expression of themselves
.
.
Find your own style and just move in the way that expresses your inner voice and your soul and inspiration
.
.
Pole style... there’s one for everybody, and everybody has their own one!

Raving Mad Fun......

5/1/2019

Last week we had a bit of extra poleicular (curricular) south pole fun!

Me and a few students headed for a night (well hour and a bit) of dancing fun

We headed to a FITNESS RAVE

An excuse  to dress up in some neon bright UV friendly clothes (if you know me it doesn't take much of  a reason to get dressed up in theme! ribbons at the ready!) decorate ourselves in UV paint, and grab those glow sticks while bouncing around to some old skool dance tracks, with instructors Heidi and Sara showing us  the rave moves to follow, as well as some free style time to bust some of our own moves!

And yes Big Fish Little Fish Cardboard Box made an appearance!

Local fitness company Active Hastings runs this fun high intensity dance, aerobic fitness lass every couple of months - and this was so much FUN

I have wanted to get along to one for ages.... and finally managed it, and with some of my wonderful pole students

This is now going to be a pencilled in as a regular South Pols AKdaemy outing!

And in August they even hold an outside FITNESS RAVE - last year it was on Hastings pier, this year we are waiting to hear the venue?

The next fitness rave is Thursday June 6th

Come along and show me your best moves!
