A little bit about what happens in our South Pole Lessons
South Pole AKademy classes are designed to help improve muscle strength and endurance, flexibility and of course the knowledge and experience to dance and use a pole safely, effectively, and of course for fun.
The session will start with a warm-up and end with a cool down including stretches to help flexibility and stretch out the muscles used.
The middle section will involve learning the different transitions, spins and tricks involved in pole dance fitness and exercise. Including lifting you own body weight, climbing the pole, spinning, and inverting to an upside down position. We will also incorporate some muscle endurance exercises which will help improve muscle tone and the ability to use the pole.
We teach pole moves in a progressive manner starting with the easier moves moving to more challenging moves once your body and mind have adapted to be able to perform the moves safely and effectively.
If there are any questions you may have or arise, please ask you instructor. You are free to stop participating in a class at any time, or if you feel you do not want to do a particular move than you are free to withdraw from that section.
Please if you feel any discomfort or pain at any time inform your instructor and stop the activity.
Pole dance fitness is a challenging yet rewarding fitness activity and as with any activity there can be risks associated with is that may lead to personal injury. All activity has risks associated with it such as pulling a muscle, however South Pole classes have been designed in a way to reduce any risks that may be involved, and the South Pole AKademy team have taken every reasonable care concerning the safety of participants, but are not responsible for the acts or omissions of others.
