First Private Lesson in New Pole Room :)

Tuesday this week saw the first private pole student in Jenni's new pole room!

The lucky lass was Emily and as you can see from her facebook comment she had ''so much fun''

Happy to say that Emily's feedback on our little private pole studio was that ''the room worked well'' It is a lovely bright pole room, and great for one on one pole tuition.

As an instructor i love teaching one on one classes as they can be taylored to our students individual level and objectives... plus its FUN!!

Level 3 Instructor Training on a Bank Holiday Weekend - May 2013

So a brief post about the bank holiday weekend-
Jenni split her time between new house planning and pole working, with a bit of time for picnicing too!

Sunday saw Jenni teaching Level 3 Instructor Training taking place up in Crawley. A lovely group of 7 attending to further their pole instructor knowledge and progress their training into teaching inverts and spotting. It was a fun day and everyone really took in the information and practical teachniques they were taught over this intensive day course. A real joy to see instructors learning new skills and working together!

Budapest International Pole Retreat 2013

May 2013 saw the return of Pole Passions International Pole retreat – this year we were off to the beautiful city of Budapest

Myself (Jenni), Alison and Carol from SouthPoleAKademy travelled to be part of this event

The week was packed with pole lessons which included to name just a few- handspring and superman workshops, contemporary pole dance chorography (my favourite!!), pole floor work, stretching techniques for splits and back arching, pole doubles, and animal pole moves…… and then you got the chance to try martini glass burlesque, aerial silks and also aerial yoga!

The studio we used for training in was the Dollhouse in the city centre and walking distance from our lovely hotel, and close to many of Budapest’s main attractions like the Cathedral Square, the Danube River, outdoor hot baths, shopping…. And cocktail bars!

The amazing Russian pole dancer Elena was our main instructor this year, supported by Sue, Kat, me (Jenni) and of course pole passions Kay.

Not only did we pole loads, but we also had time to see this lovely city and soak up the Budapest atmosphere, which I would recommend to anyone wishing to travel there

The week flew by with lots of laughter, and a few mishaps… including a broken toe bone for Alison! (At least it was on the last day lol)…. It’s all good fun!

We also participated in a night time pole photo shoot on the streets in Budapest – such a gorgeous backdrop and needless to say we drew a crowd!!

These international events are a great opportunity to meet new polers and make friends, as well as training with new instructors and brushing up on old and new techniques for pole

So lets see where the next international retreat will take us!! And maybe you will join us??

International instructor training level 1, 2 and 3 – Budapest

With my Pole Passion instructor trainer hat on I headed to Budapest to teach level 1, 2 and 3 pole instructor courses at our international pole retreat

In the instructor trainee group I had two Russians, one French, an Australian, one South African and two English lasses

What a fab group of polers they were and an amazing experience for me to teach such a wide range of cultures on our elite pole instructor certificates

It always amazes me how these trainees cope with learning and listening to me teach when English is their second language…. This alone is an inspiration

All worked hard, listened, participated and supported each other – all adding valuable experience and questions to the group learning

Happy to say they all passed their theory papers and practical examinations!

A massive Well done to all the international pole instructor students!
